What I am going to most remember about fourth grade

What I remember most about fourth grade is my friends Ben, Peyton, TJ and they are kind to me. I am going to remember the wax museum because it was about Carlton Fisk and he was my favorite athlete and I wanted to study him. I wrote poems and made them into a book. I am going to remember my teacher because she has been so kind to me. I am going to remember Because of Winn Dixie because we got to read the book and see the movie.
I am most proud of going from A in rocket math for addition and now I am finished that and I am on A for subtraction. I am proud of my blog and doing the research for it. I liked doing the water saving research too for the environment. I put that on my blog as well.  I really liked the two voice poetry that I did with Holden. I am proud of my reading. I used to have a lot of trouble reading but I got better.  I am proud that I was in the class more and working with classmates. Last year I let my classmates do all the work for me.

I am looking forward to more subjects in middle school.  To do more math, so I can get smarter at math, science, testing and reading.  I am looking forward to having a locker because I won’t have to keep my stuff and it will be safe. I am looking forward to the cafeteria so we won’t have to wait in line. I am looking forward to science and rocket math so I can get better at them.

Carlton Fisk

Carlton Fisk By Evan Pitt Carlton Fisk was a famous Red Sox and White Sox player. Carlton Fisk did other things during his life than play baseball. He was born on December 26, 1947, the day after Christmas. He was born in Bellows Falls VT only because that was the nearest hospital. Then he grew up in Charlestown NH. His nick name was Pudge because he was a chubby youngster. He played basketball, baseball and soccer at Charlestown High School. He played baseball with his brothers Calvin and Conrad. Carlton’s early life led him to become an athletic young man. Carlton Fisk got a great scholarship for basketball! He had an amazing career and a wonderful family. He got the scholarship from UNH for playing basketball with the UNH Wildcats. He and his wife live in Lockport VT. They have been married almost 40 years. His wife, Linda Lee Faust was from Manchester, NH. Carlton has three grown children and five grandchildren. After college he began his professional baseball career. Carlton Fisk played for the Boston Red Sox and the Chicago White Sox. He was drafted in 1967 by the Red Sox in the first round. He played for the Red Sox in 1969 and 1971, then until 1980. He didn’t have a contract with the Red Sox so he went with the Chicago White Sox in the 1981 season. He played for the Chicago White Sox from 1981-1993. When Carlton Fisk retired the Red Sox and the White Sox retired his numbers. He played for these two teams for 26 whole years! Carlton Fisk was not just a good player. He was a superstar. His number for the Red Sox was 27 and for the White Sox was 72. The numbers were backwards. He hit 376 home runs in his career. He caught in over 2,000 games. He hit a game winning home run in the 1975 World Series. He is famous for “waiving fair.” It means that he was praying that the ball would not go foul. He was famous for being an all-star catcher and hitter. Carlton Fisk was known for getting many awards. He was entered in The Boston Hall of Fame in 2000. Carlton was the Thomas A. Yawkey Red Sox MVP in 1972 and 1977. He was Rookie of the Year in Boston for 1972. He was an All Star player in both Boston and Chicago for 11 different years. An interesting fact about Carlton Fisk is that there is a full sized statue of Carlton Fisk at the Chicago baseball field. Carlton Fisk was an All Star man. I think he was the best ever player in the Boston Red Sox and the Chicago White Sox.

Welcome !

Hi my name is Evan . I'm nine years old I'm in fourth grade. My favorite book is "Big Nate and Friends".
My favorite subject is science and in science we are doing electricity. We have batteries and we made wire out of tin foil and tape. We also had a light bulb. We used everything to connect it together and light the light bulb and it was really bright! In math we are doing math facts.
We do Rocket Math that is when you group up with a partner and we have one minute to do as many math facts as you can. My goal in one minute is twenty-six.
Could you please leave a question or a statement about the subjects. You can leave one or two.
